Board Exams 2024 Date Sheet Live Updates for CBSE Class 10, 12; UP, BSEB, MP Timetables

CBSE 12th board exam will clash with JEE Main Session 2? Here’s what CBSE Said

In the academic world, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the timetables for the upcoming Class 10 and 12 exams in 2024. More than 35 lakh students are preparing to take part in the CBSE Board Exams of 2024.

According to the CBSE datesheet, the Class 12 board exams will be held from February 15 to April 2, 2024. After the completion of these exams, many students usually prepare for the challenging JEE Main examination.

Traditionally, students transition from school-centric evaluations to nationally recognized competitive exams like the JEE Main.

The intricate dance between standardized board examinations and entrance assessments for higher education, exemplified by the CBSE Class 12th Board Exams and the JEE Main, has consistently stirred apprehensions among students and their guardians. As the dawn of the academic year 2024 approaches, a salient question lingers: Might there be a clash between the CBSE Class 12th Board Exam and JEE Main Session 2?

Based on the available information, the JEE Main Session 2 exam is set to take place from April 1 to April 15. This could create a situation where the exam schedules for the CBSE board exams and the JEE Main overlap.

However, Sanyam Bhardwaj, the Examination Controller, has assuaged these concerns by affirming that the board has tactically implemented measures to guarantee a substantial temporal gap between these momentous examinations.

Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj explained, “While preparing the date sheet for Class 12 examinations, the board has given utmost attention to ensure that there is a sufficient gap between the two exams. We have taken into account the dates of competitive exams like JEE during the formulation of the schedule.”

Last year, many students requested a delay in the JEE Main’s first session, which was initially scheduled for January. They were concerned about the exam’s close proximity to the board exams, particularly the practical assessments, which were only two weeks apart.

Through various social media platforms, numerous individuals expressed their concerns and urged for changes to be made to the timeline of the exam.

Ordinarily, the theoretical examination dates for the CBSE board seldom synchronize with those designated for the JEE Main examination. Nevertheless, of late, contenders have consistently articulated their misgivings about the complexities stemming from simultaneous preparations for both assessments. This predicament is further compounded by the involvement in CBSE practical examinations, posing a substantial impediment for students to devote ample attention to their JEE Main readiness.

Should the board adhere to its original timetable, commencing the board examinations on February 15, 2024, it could potentially culminate in a direct clash of schedules between the JEE Main and CBSE Board Exam dates. Simultaneously, the JEE Main Session 2 examination is calendared to unfold from April 1 to April 15, 2023.
